c) Guidelines for Attestation of Commercial Documents:

A large number of Indian companies are involved in export, import, investments,  collaborations, technologies, projects, education and other various exchange  programs. Most of these activities require exchange of various documents that needs  to be attested / authenticated by some appropriate authorities. 

Apex Chamber of  Commerce & Industry of NCT Delhi provides services to attest /  authenticate such documents for their members and the business community at large.

All those members desirous to getting their documents attested / authenticated are  requested to take note of the following points before submitting documents:

1. Any document submitted to the Chamber for attestation / authentication are  carried out on the basis of an Indemnity Bond. The Bond should be made on a  Non-Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs.    100/- duly attested by Notary Public. This bond  will be a continuing bond for that Company and need not be submitted with every  set of documents for authentication attestation in future.

2. All documents for attestation / authentication are required to be submitted to the  Chamber  with a forwarding letter on their Company\'s letter head.
   
   
3. The Chamber requires at least four hours to process the documents.
   
   
4. Please note that the Chamber always retains a copy of all such documents presented for  attestation / authentification. Companies are therefore advised to supply an extra copy of such documents. For any further assistance please contact the Chamber Secretariat.
   
   
5. The Apex Chamber charges a fee of Rs. 50/- and Rs. 100/- per documents form members and non-members respectively for attestation / authentification.
   
   
6. The attestation / authentification fee is accepted in cash but can be remitted through Bank  Draft favouring "Apex Chamber of Commerce & Industry of NCT Delhi" payable at Delhi.
   
   
7. The documents for attestation / authentification can be sent through post along with the fee  and the postal charges as a Demand Draft. The Chamber bears no responsibility for the loss of documents in postal/courier transit.
   
   
8. Generally the Chamber takes about 4 hours to process the request subject to fulfillment of all  the formalities.
   

Submitting request letter to the Chamber and meeting all the requirements does not  necessarily mean that the attestation/authentification of documents will be done by Chamber. The Apex Chamber reserve the right to reject any such request without  specifying any reason.
